Tapes and liquid adhesives come in a broad range of strengths. Your unique body chemistry will affect how long and how well each product works for you. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different products.
You can mix and match too: use tape around the perimeter and liquid adhesive at the hairline, or one type of tape in front and a different tape elsewhere, etc.
If you are a newcomer, if you remove nightly or if you just don’t have the patience to fuss with adhesives, then you are probably a “Tape Person”.

Advantages to tape:
- Easy to apply and remove
- Can be used for short-term or long-term attachment
- Easy to carry with you when traveling

Disadvantages to Tape:
- In certain lighting conditions, some tapes can look shiny
- Care must be taken when removing tape to prevent hairs from being pulled through to the underside of the base
- Important to use the proper tape for each base material

If you are meticulous about how you attach, if you want to wear your hair system for extended periods of time and want the most invisible attachment possible, then you should consider liquid adhesives.

- Strong hold for extended wear
- No visible shine
- Cannot be detected by touch

Disadvantages to Liquid Adhesives
- Takes practice to apply correctly
- Not practical for daily attachment/removal
- Clean-up is time-consuming
